Danae Cantwell School of Dance (DCSOD) are proud to offer their first Mid-Year Showcase at the Glasshouse to be held on June 30, 2024.DCSOD students have worked incredibly hard over the past two terms in classes and look forward to giving their dancers the opportunity to perform on stage and enjoy the process of working with their dance team. Please check the Handbook to know which show your child is dancing in.
Specific drop off and pick up times for students according to their class and routine are outlined in the DCSOD Showcase Handbook.
A big part of dance training at DCSOD is learning through performance. Although performance opportunities can help prepare some students for a possible career in dance, they also contribute to all student's success in non-dance activities. The performing experience helps build students’ self-esteem and can have lasting effects such as confidence resulting in better in-school presentations, improved social skills, and strong interview skills for future university or job opportunities.
It is very important for the self-esteem of their students to have the chance to show their parents/carers and friends what they have been working towards throughout the year. The process of rehearsal, costume, production and show is a measure of dancer's patience, discipline, hard work but most of all joy when they finally get to dance and perform for an audience.
DCSOD students will all do their very best to entertain you and hope you enjoy every moment of their 2024 Showcase.
