Dan Alten is a nationally touring comedian from Louisville Kentucky known for his unique blend of intelligence and goofiness. He's a prolific "DIY" performer having spent over a decade touring the country and doing more than 200 shows a year in a variety of venues from comedy clubs to punk basements and art galleries.A show with Dan Alten is a night of "surreal nonsense" and "tight night surreal fun." He's been described as being "like if The Ramones were one guy with a mustache and good jokes." His humor is quirky and twitchy and he has a knack for making audiences feel like they're on a good psychedelic trip without the drugs. He has recorded two albums written a zine and even filmed a pilot for an Amazon Prime show that according to him was "lost to history."
Alten is known for his ability to connect with a crowd using the energy of the room to guide his performance. He's also opened for well-known comedians and performers such as Kyle Kinane Bobcat Goldthwait Rory Scovel and Sarah Sherman from SNL.
