ONE WORD: COOLSHIP.
Our illustrious liquids are always crafted with intentionality and a sense of place. Since opening our doors in 2017, we’ve tried to harness the natural microbiome of yeast and bacteria that permeates the Plaza Midwood air through our coolship program. After cooling outdoors overnight, we laid our first successful spontaneously fermented beer to rest in neutral oak wine barrels for THREE. LONG. YEARS!!!
This manifestation of time and hard work deserves nothing less than to be shared with our community in the most special evening to properly appreciate a beer we’ve been dreaming about since before we ever had a name for this place.
Naturally, we’re going hard and celebrating by hosting a five-course beer dinner with this city’s recently named Chef of the Year and their restaurant. We’re honored to partner with Chef Oscar Johnson and Chef Daryl Cooper, the masterminds behind the brain child that is Jimmy Pearls.
Please join us at the brewery in Plaza Midwood on Tuesday, August 23rd at 6pm as we come together to marry some of the best talent that the Charlotte Food & Beverage scene has to offer.
The food menu* will be rooted in the traditions of African American culinary history and their family traditions rooted in Virginia and other regions of the U.S and the world. The courses will be unveiled at the opening of the beer dinner. We can’t wait to host you!
