Literary Soul Walk
Carmen Rendell
A local walking therapist and Co-Director of Soulhub. She supports individuals and businesses as they explore and gain a deeper understanding of relationships, behaviours, habits and ultimately themselves. Having travelled the world, sailed across oceans, walked to Everest Base Camp, Carmen loves to explore nature and people, and uses this curiosity now in her work and creativity. Based in Richmond with Andrew, together they create community events, including the Richmond Dance Al Fresco and Soulwalks for local people to come together, connect and explore life’s questions.
Andrew Cuerden
Co-Director of Soulhub and Soulwalks works primarily as a therapeutic dance and life coach. Holding with authenticity and integrity space that is kind, inspirational and creative for individuals, couples or groups to safely and spaciously explore, express and develop their uniqueness with empowered confidence. Weaving together fundamental aspects of psycho-somatics and spiritual practices, Andrew helps people integrate mind, body and soul to find more grounded balance, presence, harmony and joy.
He does this with the transcendent support of either music and dance or walking in nature.
Eleanor O’Rourke
Eleanor believes that creativity is the part of our spirit that seeks expression in the world. It is not restricted to the narrow definitions applied to artists, but is innate in all. Connection to this force energises us, provides clarity and allows us to make intuitive choices. Lack of connection, can lead to stress, confusion and depression.
Rachel Seiffert has published four novels, A Boy in Winter, The Dark Room, Afterwards, and The Walk Home, and one collection of short stories, Field Study. Her novels have been shortlisted for the Booker Prize and the Dublin/IMPAC Award, and longlisted three times for the Women’s Prize for Fiction, most recently in 2018. Rachel has 20 years teaching experience, tutoring on residential courses at the Arvon Foundation, working as Writer in Residence with First Story in London secondary schools, and as a Royal Literary Fund Fellow.
