The Greater Dallas Organic Garden Club invites you to join us Sunday.


With 2:30 meeting and 3:00pm program: 'Waterwise Regenerative Gardening' with GDOGC member Dr. Peter Schaar. Peter will discuss gardening with an emphasis on soil ecology and its relationship with growing in the backland prairie region. Our meetings are always free and open to the public. Bring a friend! Peter Schaar, Ph. D. is a garden designer and horticultural consultant who specializes in water - wise, organic gardens for hot climates. From 2001 to 2007 he was the Dallas representative of the Garden Conservancy and organized and ran the Dallas Open Days garden tours. He is past president of both The Dallas Area Historical Rose Society and the Dallas chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas, which he led the revival of after a period of dormancy. He is a member of The Southern Garden History Society and The American Horticultural Society. He consulted on part of the landscape design for The George W. Bush Presidential Center and Library. He is also an out of control gardener and passionate cook.

Our regular meeting starts at 2:30, and our program begins at 3:00pm. Please join us!
