About this Event
DALIA MALEK'S WORK-IN-PROGRESS STAND-UP COMEDY SHOW WITH SUPPORT FROM DANIEL ZAMBRANO

With Dalia Malek, enlightenment can be silly and the gallows can be fun. She playfully loathes humanity, and that includes herself. Pay attention to her, but don't make eye contact. She invites you to join her journey through chronic personal failures, career blunders, health woes, carefree childlessness, avoidance of strangers and finding love as she realizes that, just like the Mario Bros' quest to save the princess, her hopes and dreams are in another castle.

Watch her work in progress as she prepares her solo hour "Another Castle" for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2022 in Scotland, knowing full well what a spectacular failure that was in 2020. Good thing she's intimately acquainted with spectacular failure.

DANIEL ZAMBRANO started comedy after a break-up in 2017, jumping from one toxic relationship to another.

He is the stand-up comedian and curator behind @OrangeCountyStandUp, a social media platform created to help open micers just starting out, give road dogs and comics who just moved to Southern California an idea of where to look for spots, to nurture the local comedy scene in Orange County and Long Beach, and to help comedy fans find places to watch local shows.

He was a twice featured comic at the Chicano-Con Cultural Festival in San Diego, and can be seen performing at clubs all over LA and San Diego.
