About this Event

Jack Kanya Kudnuitya Buckskin is a Kaurna and Narungga man who has dedicated his life to learning and passing on his knowledge and language of the Adelaide Plains to future generations of Kaurna people. Jack has been the Nature Festival's Cultural Ambassador since our inception.

Join us for this intimate conversation between Jack and Nature Festival arts curator Amber Cronin as they discuss the importance of connection to place for all people and what modern society can learn from Aboriginal relationship to country.

The discussion will be followed by Q+A and the event will also be streamed online.

"As human beings in the environment, it is crucial for us to understand that we are a speck... we have our own place in this environment just like every other living creature. My connection and relationship to nature is that of the First Nations people of this land, but it’s also my responsibility to teach, educate and acknowledge the stories of the past and how it makes us who we are today." - Jack Buckskin

This event will be held both in-person and streamed online.

The link to join online will be emailed to ticket holders closer to the event.
