Electronic adventurers, prepare! On Saturday 16th August The Cage is excited to welcome Hong Kong based electronic music event Dafbau for its first trip to Cambodia. Dafbau is a party series that champions cultural fusion and operates a music policy of fresh, unique and engaging club focused sounds.Charting your evening are Producer/DJ’s Funk D’Void (UK) and returning favourite Stelios Vassiloudis (GR). ��Touching down for his Phnom Penh debut, Funk D'Void's influence on the dance music scene is undeniable.
Hailing from Scotland, with a career spanning over two decades, the now Barcelona based DJ, producer, coach and presenter’s impact on music and the scene is unparalleled as he continues to push boundaries through his music and inspire the next generation of talent.
��“Diabla”, released in 2001, was coined ‘biggest techno record of the year’ by DJ Mag and is known and appreciated by today’s youth. It was a record that united scenes and found its way into the boxes of the world’s leading house, techno, trance and progressive DJs alike, seeing the Scot soar into the DJ elite, performing at the world’s best clubs and festivals. Other tracks such as ‘Jack Me Off’, ‘Bad Coffee’, and ‘Emotional Content, remixes for Underworld, New Order, Laurent Garnier, releases for Bedrock, Drumcode, All Day I Dream and mix compilations for Balance Series, Soma's Sci-Fi Hi-Fi, Cocoon, plus ‘Blood’ and ‘I Try’ under his moniker Francois Dubois, went on to become huge underground hits and crown his legendary status in dance music history.
��Stelios Vassiloudis is a multifaceted composer, producer and DJ hailing from Athens, Greece. Active in the electronic music since the early 2000s, he has cultivated a sound of his own - one that reflects his rich and diverse musical background, transcending the dance floor via an emotional narrative of complex soundscapes, intricate harmonies and hypnotic rhythms.��
Classically trained, Stelios carved his path in electronic music by traversing the globe as a DJ and live performer - performing at intimate underground clubs in Beirut, festivals in Miami, afterhours in Tokyo, beaches in Goa and mega clubs in Argentina. His studio prowess and coveted productions cemented his reputation as a versatile and acclaimed artist, as he developed a formidable discography on esteemed labels such as Bedrock, Poker Flat, Ovum, Constant Sound, Darkroom Dubs and Balance, among others. ��
