Are you a local dad who is into board games? Does the thought of playing Wingspan while sharing your favorite dad jokes make you smile? Do you have a Warlock build that you have been dying to try out but don’t have a D&D table to play at? Are you an introvert and the thought of large groups makes you anxious? Then join our dads for some fun with our twice-monthly Dads Game Night! We now have access to the private space above Silver King Games & Hobby with plenty of room to run multiple tables for board games, your favorite card games, or whatever TTRPG the gang wants to dive into at the time. There is no cost to attend the event and you do not have to bring your own games as there will be plenty of options to choose from.If you are interested in learning more, we recommend that you check out our private Discord server and join in on the discussion of which games will be played, who is bringing what, and what campaign will be run for the TTRPG table(s). We understand that family life can be unpredictable so Discord is also a great way to contact the host in case you need to arrive late as the main doors are locked shortly after we start. The private space we are renting from Silver King gives us more room to work with and allows us to go past 10PM if a game is still going or you find that the table just isn’t at a good stopping point.
Parking is available in the lot behind the shop and you can ignore the signs posted saying you need a permit to park there, during event hours. If the back door is unlocked when you arrive you can come in, take your first right, and then follow the Silver King or Tacoma Dads Group signs up the stairs and to the event. If you arrive and the back door is locked, please send a DM to (Mod/Host) Joey on Discord so someone can be let in through the side door, near the glass double doors of Heritage Bank. Game night will be hosted on the second and fourth Thursday of every month, from 7:30PM to 10PM, and we are always open to having new games/genres added as there is an interest and someone willing to teach.
