About this Event
MILD ULCER presents another Dadaist Writing Night! During this free event we will be utilizing the cut-up technique, a Dadaist creative writing method first described by Tristan Tzara in 1920.
Upon entry, you will find two bowls of folded up slips of paper: one with 1,000 cut out words, another with sentence fragments (in case you need a bit more to go off of). Ideally, you will blindly pick at least five words from the bowl, but feel free to pick more. Then, write using the words you’ve just picked up! At the end there will be 15 spare minutes for anyone who feels inclined to share what they’ve written.
Also, feel free to disregard the Dadaism, or leave early! It’s an hour and a half of dedicated time, with some nice background music and great drinks, to write in good company. Everyone is welcome :)
