Spremljevalni dogodek: pogovor z avtorji razstave v petek, 11. 4. 2025, ob 17. uri v Pritličju; pogovor bo vodila Hana Nekrep.
Dobrodošli na metarazstavi Døuglandie, ki raziskuje sociologijo zabaviščnih parkov. Pripnite si pasove in zadržite dih! Z deli Maxima Custodia, Marine Martínez, Hsin-yu Tai in Inje Prebil, članov mednarodnega umetniškega kolektiva Døug, podoživite vlakec smrti, vrtiljak in druge zabaviščne atrakcije ter raziščite kot labirint zavite in barvite metauniverzume. Tu so čustva barve, univerzum pa je sestavljen iz več svetov, katerih možnosti se prepletajo. Med igrivim doživetjem se vsak preobrazi; izkušnja je osebna in psihološka, pa tudi kolektivna, socialna in družbena.
Døuglandie je namišljen zabaviščni park in hkrati razstava o zabaviščnih parkih. Umetniki prostore, namenjene brezskrbni zabavi, interpretirajo z različnimi umetniškimi praksami – slikarstvom, kiparstvom, 3D-modeliranjem in performansom – ter preizprašujejo nastale univerzume in njihove oblike obstoja: kaj se dogaja v nas med družabnimi srečanji v teh parkih, kjer plačamo za načrtovane užitke, za dvig adrenalina? Tako v zabaviščnem parku kot na razstavi naše čute stimulirajo simulacije.

Welcome to Døuglandie, a meta-exhibition exploring the sociology of amusement parks. Fasten your seatbelts and hold your breath! Relive the rollercoaster, the carousel and other amusement rides, and explore the labyrinthine and colourful meta-universes with works by Maxime Custodio, Marina Martínez, Hsin-yu Tai and Inja Prebil, members of the international art collective Døug. Here, emotions are colours, and the universe is made up of multiple worlds whose possibilities are intertwined. During the playful experience, everyone is transformed; the experience is collective, social and societal as well as personal and psychological.
Døuglandie is both an imaginary amusement park and an exhibition about amusement parks. The artists interpret the spaces dedicated to carefree fun through various artistic practices – painting, sculpture, 3D modelling and performance – to explore the resulting universes and their forms of existence: what happens inside us as we socialise in these parks, where we pay for the expected pleasures, for the adrenaline rush? In an amusement park and at an exhibition alike, our senses are stimulated by simulations.
