Cyr Wheel Suspension Theory
Beginners & Mixed Levels : $100
Prerequisites: Strong waltz and confident with wheel manipulation recommend but not required, understanding of center spin will be beneficial. Ability to sustain a dead hang (from a stationary bar) for 10seconds.
Suspension Theory Workshop will fly us into suspended skills within the Cyr wheel. Some popular skills involving suspension theory are Superman, Hanging Tuck, Suspended Waltz, Glissade, and elbow hangs. In this workshop we will move through the fundamentals of these skills and beyond. We will learn the tools to create continuous suspended spin and pathways to move between suspended skills. Whether you are just learning to hang or already proficient this class is for all those who love to fly!

Cyr Wheel Sequencing & Transitions
Mixed Levels : $100
Prerequisites: Continuous Waltz. Off wheel manipulations. Understanding of half turn & Twist recommended but not required.
Sequencing and Transitions Workshop will guide students between skills on an off wheel to create flow and seamless transitions. We will hone in on linking skills together smoothly to create unique sequences. Finding smooth entry and exit points onto and off of the wheel into manipulations and waltzing skills. Students will be encourage to creat a personalized flow as well as movement inspiration from others.

Mixed Levels: $35 / $10 if you take a workshop
Open gym for cyr wheel! Wheels provided. Cyr games and training time.
About Allison:
Allison Ottjepka is a high level Cyr Wheel artist, she found Cyr Wheel in 2016 and has continued to carry out a full time performance art career. She began coaching Cyr through “Spinnovation Detroit” in 2019. Allison has a Unique style with the wheel drawing inspiration from skatepark culture, breakdancing, hip hop, and other flow based movement arts.
Allison’s style is based on being fluid with the wheel and finding skills within natural pathways of movement. In addition to her flow style of Cyr, Allison is certified in PAT (progressive axis training), a Cyr Wheel curriculum created by Sam Tribble. PAT focuses on the fundamentals of ground movements and physics needed to elevate and efficiently hone one’s Cyr Wheel skills. Allison’s teaching strategy is to give students the tools to create beyond their skill levels and find their unique flow with the wheel. Through PAT Allison is advanced in Cyr Wheel training and spotting techniques to help her students obtain skill goals and advance to the next level in their Cyr journey.
