Holding Our Planet – Wisdom’s Work in Transforming Crisis

In this rare public talk, Cynthia will invite us to reflect on our role of renewal as we stand on the brink of a major planetary tipping-point. What is needed for nurturing conscious, thoughtful, prayerful human beings who can act with agency, rootedness, and compassion? Drawing on a lifetime of study, practice and bold truth-seeking, Cynthia will engage in thoughtful dialogue, taking questions and observations from the audience.


About Cynthia Bourgeault

Cynthia Bourgeault is a modern-day mystic, Episcopal priest, writer and internationally acclaimed retreat leader. She worked closely for more than two decades with Thomas Keating, founder of the centering Prayer movement, and has herself authored two books on Centering Prayer, with a third one forthcoming in November 2024. She is the founding director of an international network of Wisdom schools, uniting classic Christian mystical and monastic teaching with contemporary practices of mindfulness and embodiment.

She is a core faculty member emeritus of Richard Rohr’s Center for Action and Contemplation.

In 2021 she was named one of the 100 most spiritually influential people alive.
