We’ve all heard it for years now: “’Cross is dead.” Well… not exactly. Yes, participation has trended downward a bit over the last few seasons, but our local cyclocross scene is still strong and we believe it can be even better. That’s why we’re inviting anyone invested in CX to join us for an informal gathering with some of the KC area cyclocross race promoters. The goal is simple: an open, honest discussion about what’s working, what isn’t, and how we can improve the local cyclocross experience. Come with constructive criticism, complaints, grievances, ideas and hopefully a few solutions. Let’s talk about improving race day, supporting promoters, and finding ways to boost rider participation. This will also be a great opportunity for anyone interested in jumping into race promotion next season to hear directly from those with experience, ask questions, and gain some real insight.
