Cyclocross CORN CROSS will be held at Wheeler farms IN the Corn Maze! Lots of FUN last year, sure to be FUN this year!
Course preview starting at 12:30 pm, followed 1 lap kids race 1:30 then A and B races. The A race is approx. 45 minutes, with the B Race approx. 35 minutes, and a one lap KIDS race (riders 14 years and younger).
12:30pm course open for warmup and race sign up.
1:30 pm . ONE short loop kids race (kids race is free-race day registration only)
2:00 pm ish.. "A" race [45min] "B" race [30min] "A" & "B" will run together with "A" starting 2 min. ahead.
3:30 pm ish 5k running race on the same course. FREE entry to anyone who racing Cyclocross, and special awards.
The race format is for informal but spirited action. Experienced riders will enjoy the competitive nature of the A Race. Novice, beginners or just curious souls will enjoy the fun atmosphere in the B Race. All are welcome! CX bike or gravel bike for the A race. Mountain bikes are fine for the B race. The course is not overly technical but we have a few little hills, grass, dirt and sand on the property that we will be using, as well as some natural barriers.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION: This year we will have $30 race fee to cover rider insurance. These races are USA Cycling sanctioned races, riders will need either a yearly USAC membership or a ONE DAY license ($10). If you purchase the one day license, the total entry fee for this event is $40.
"B" race will not be sanctioned and will not require the USAC license.
We encourage you to hang around the bonfire after the race for food and fun with friends.
Feel free to extend an invitation to others that you know who would enjoy some informal Cyclocross action.
