Calling all cycling enthusiasts in the Leeds area. We're looking for support from cyclists who would like to participate in a ride out in the Leeds area on Friday June 14th in support of an important cause.
On December 4th 2019, Jordan Phillip of Horsforth, near Leeds, took his own life following a period of anxiety and depression.
Following the devasting loss Jordan's family experienced, his father, Steve Phillip, founded The Jordan Legacy to raise awareness about suicide and the fact that it is the biggest killer of people under the age of 35.
On Friday the 14th June, as part of the #ZeroSuicideSociety #JoinTheDotsTour, we are organising the Cycle for Life, a relatively short, 34-mile, non-competitive ride from Leeds to Wakefield and back.

This ride is a particularly poignant part of the tour for Steve and The Jordan Legacy. We've chosen a distance of 34 miles to represent one mile for each year Jordan was alive. The start of the ride is close to the Horsforth area of Leeds where Jordan lived and the half-way point is in Wakefield at the offices of the Independent Office for Police Conduct, where Jordan's friends and ex-colleagues will be waiting to greet us with refreshments.
