About this Event
In a world where cyber threats are constantly evolving and are accelerated, people face unique challenges.
Imagine the following scenario: You are an ordinary employee, say an accountant who has been through all the security awareness training. You know you need to change your passwords regularly, you do not write them down and you have been through a number of email phishing exercises, so you are quite confident you can spot a potential phishing attempt. Yet, you are in a hurry to submit the balance sheet before the deadline and you clicked on that malicious URL so now all eyes are on you.
Despite the cyber security training you received, you clicked on the link and you immediately realise that it was a mistake; anxiety starts building up. What do you do and where do you start? Panic takes over.
A message to the top management: how you can empower your employees to do the right thing following a cyber attack?
A message to cyber security experts: what would you expect from the end users who are engaged in a cyber security incident? Will you once more rehearse the popular trope that “human is the weakest link” and try to resolve the problem on your own or within your team?
Cyber First Aid (CFA) is an innovative training programme created by Cyber Innovations Ltd., a Bournemouth University pre spin-out, designed to help organisations respond effectively to cyber incidents while building long-term resilience. Developed through research in cyber incident response and psychological resilience, CFA provides practical, hands-on training to help businesses and charities prepare for and manage cyber threats.
For this event, Cyber Innovations Ltd. is partnering with Cobine Carmelson, specialists in risk management and cyber insurance, to offer a unique and comprehensive approach to cyber resilience. CFA’s expert-led training on cybersecurity and psychological resilience will be complemented by Cobine Carmelson’s insights into cyber insurance and risk protection, helping organisations strengthen their defences from both a technical and financial perspective.
This event is designed to give attendees clear, actionable steps to improve their cyber security, reduce risk, and build a strong cyber resilience strategy.
