Jonathan Rowe found his passion for photography after an early career in East Lancashire industry. His journey led him to pursue education at Blackpool and The Fylde College, where he honed his skills in professional photography. It was here that he discovered his desire to explore the realm of creative practice.
Drawing from his upbringing in Burnley and Belfast, Jonathan's work is deeply influenced by the interplay of cultures and experiences. As a photographer, he explores themes of representation, identity, and class within the post-industrial landscape of East Lancashire.
Jonathan's interest extends to the use of early photographic techniques, through which he uncovers the rich history of the medium. By employing these techniques, he seeks to challenge traditional narratives and encourage new interpretations of class and identity in contemporary society.
Today, Jonathan Rowe's passion for photography has evolved into his profession as a dedicated teacher, where he shares his expertise and insights with aspiring photographers, guiding them on their own creative journeys.
