Inspired by plants?
Looking to learn something fun with plant cuttings and even your yard trash?
Join me for a Cyanotype Class!
Cyanotype is an alternative photography method that uses the light of the sun to produce a blue and white image. These images are archival, and suitable for framing. Best of all they are easy and fun to do.
It is the perfect medium to create one-of-a-kind plant inspired art.
Join expert teacher Judy Pickett for a fun, casual, and relaxed two hours of group instruction with some one-on-one guidance in cyanotype printmaking. During this class, you will design and develop several cyanotype prints. Walk away from the event with 3-5 lovely prints suitable for framing.
Judy is a local artist who combines cyanotype printmaking with encaustic painting. As a former teacher, Judy loves to teach others about her unique medium. “When I was introduced to the alternative photography method, known as cyanotype, I was hooked! Cyanotype uses photosensitive paper to develop an image without a camera. It creates beautiful blue and white images by laying an object or a negative onto the paper and exposing it in the sun. It's magic! “
