Cyanotype or ‘blue print’ – is one of photography’s oldest printing methods. Originally developed to reproduce plans and technical drawings, and ‘Blue Prints’ to catalogue plant material for botanists. On this one day course you can work with a photograph, a drawing on transparent film, or real objects or plant material to create a small edition of prints.
With this process we treat our printing paper with a photographic emulsion and use UV light to expose our images onto the paper itself before developing the beautiful deep blue prints.
