Join the Commonwealth War Graves Commission for a free tour of Edinburgh (Comely Bank) Cemetery, led by one of our experienced volunteer tour guides.

MEETING POINT is at the cemetery entrance on Crewe Road South, EH4 2HX
Edinburgh (Comely Bank) Cemetery contains 227 burials of the First World War, most of them forming a war graves plot in Section D. The Second World War plot is immediately in front and contains more than half of the 76 Second World War war burials. The cemetery also includes the youngest CWGC commemoration in Reginald Earnshaw aged 14.
The tour lasts approx. 90 mins and covers about 800 metres on paths and grass with uneven ground.
Limited parking is available at the entrance on Crewe Road South. There are no on site facilities. Pleae bring water if required.
Please come dressed for the weather and in a suitable footwear.
Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the cemetery.
Please note there can be last minute cancellations. This can be due to various reasons including illness, site issues and weather. We will email you as soon as we can, but this could include the morning of the tour, so please check your emails prior to leaving for the tour.
