About this Event
As part of the remembrance period, join us at West Hill Cemetery for a guided tour where you will discover some of the stories behind the casualties commemorated in the cemetery. You will also get a fascinating insight into what we have achieved in our 100 year existence alongside understanding what we do to maintain sites like this.
Remembrance is a time to reflect on and learn about all those that have made the ultimate sacrifice. It is our hope that by the end of the tour you will help us ensure the casualties at West Hill Cemetery are never forgotten.
Please Note:
Tours will begin opposite the cemetery cottage which is located by the gated entrance in the east of the cemetery. There is no parking available in the cemetery. Although the tour will stick to paths, the ground is quite uneven in places. Please come dressed appropriately for the weather and wear suitable shoes. There are no toilet facilities on site.
Tour commences by the Cross of Sacrifice (pictured above) in the centre of the cemetery.
