About this Event
CWBA Calgary is hosting Brad Mills for a laser welding demonstration. The demonstration will include an Brad Mill's background story, a comparison of handheld vs. traditional laser welding, basic laser safety, common materials & capabilities, joint geometries, mechanical performance, applications for handheld lasers, and a discussion about the outlook of handheld laser welding. Then... you'll get a chance to try it out! Dinner will be included, please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.
SAIT has generously prepared 30 sets of sample pieces to use for demo (12 gauge mild steel). Big thanks to Greg Ball and SAIT.
