About this Event

The Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (CVCA) is welcoming you, the next generation of innovators, by meeting you where they are today and inviting you to explore a career path that places you on the frontline of innovation. The CVCA team will be at University of Calgary on Tuesday, October 17th to share insights about what it looks like to get involved with Venture Capital. Through an 'Ask Me Anything' session, networking and a VC Investment Simulation, students will walk away with a clearer picture of the VC industry.

A career in Venture Capital (VC) offers a dynamic opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation and purpose-driven change. VC professionals actively shape the future by supporting startups with groundbreaking ideas, fostering entrepreneurship, and contributing to job creation both locally and globally. VCs champion social and environmental causes while achieving financial growth. Through mentorship, they empower emerging businesses to thrive, strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

A career in VC offers a unique blend of purpose, influence, and financial reward, making it an inspiring and fulfilling career path for those eager to make a meaningful impact on the world. There’s no single path to a VC career, and no path that excludes you from one. At CVCA, we believe in the limitless possibilities of breaking into the venture capital industry, especially for young women nationwide.
