About this Event
A series where we develop our everyday creative practice, leaning into our handbook for creative living - the Together Culture Living Book.

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”― Albert Einstein

A few years ago, a Princeton professor of Psychology and Public Affairs, Johannes Haushofer, wrote and published his CV of Failures to help his students. It went viral.
The last time you logged on to Linkedin or applied for a job, did you read or talk about failure? We’re told to fail fast on the way to achieving our goals, as it’s the only way to learn. Yet, we don’t talk about our mistakes all that much. Which one is it? And, hey, what if there was no such thing as failure? Would that take the shame out of it and make us more compassionate humans?
We know we need to take more creative approaches to fixing all of our systems to regenerate our world. Failure is a hugely important part of the creative process. So much so that those of us at Together Culture aren’t even sure ‘failure’ is a thing, we’re more convinced we’re in a constant state of transition if we have the courage to try new things.
That’s what we’ll explore as we gather together and write our CV’s of Failure.
This session is one of a five-part series:
- Turning Up and Butter Making
- Collaborating and Collage Making
- Experimenting and Mocktail Mixing
- Helping Others and Chocolate Truffle Making
- CV of Failure Writing Party
What to expect in this workshop?
We’ll settle in with snacks and drinks.
We’ll play a game where we try to match up mistakes with people who are celebrated for their success.
We’ll lean into the Together Culture ‘Living Book’ and play with some skills like active listening and design thinking to create our definition of what failure is and isn’t.
Then we’ll get our writing on and together, craft our own beautiful versions of our CV of Failures.
