Kick off your festive season with a cheeky Tuesday night of thrilling big-band jazz and craft beer... and add on a dance class if the mood takes you! The Cutting Edge Big Band played at last year’s Oxford Swing Festival, which brought dancers from across world to hear them play. Swing Dance Summertown run the largest swing dance school in Oxford, so it was an easy decision to team up for this gig and bring the Summertown teachers to taproom to lead a taster class.
No experience is necessary and all you need to bring are some sensible shoes to dance in. We'll teach you some of the simpler shapes and moves that will enable you to dance to the band’s numbers. The class comes with a smile and we guarantee to have you dancing within an hour!
- Swing Dance Taster Class: 6.45pm - 7.35pm - Tickets £10
- Band: 8pm - 10:30pm - £14 (or £48 for 4)
Just to be clear, you'll need to buy tickets for the dance class AND the band if you want to do both.
Please note we'll be filming and photographing the evening.
