About this Event
Join us for a session with business contracts attorney Stacia Hofmann where
we’ll demystify contracts for creatives. She’ll cover key client contract
components such as scope of work, payment terms, and IP rights through an
engaging discussion and hands-on exercises.
This event is focused on the benefits of using plain language in business
agreements, and no prior knowledge of the law is necessary. By the time you
leave the session, you’ll know why it’s important to use contracts to set
expectations, protect your work, and personalize the client experience, and
you’ll be well on your way to crafting clear contract language to support
your projects.
We will have all the supplies you will need to participate. We will
provide some drinks and snacks, and feel free to hit the food trucks outside
for dinner beforehand!
