Join us for the annual Curtis Owens Literary Awards, celebrating excellence in student writing at Tusculum University. This year's ceremony features acclaimed poet and food writer Gregory Emilio, who will present readings and announce the winners. Now in its fourth year, this prestigious contest recognizes outstanding student work in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and drama, with winning pieces considered for publication in our student literary journal, Sit Lux.Date: April 10, 2025

About Gregory Emilio:
A poet and food writer from southern California, Gregory Emilio’s work has been featured in Best New Poets, Gastronomica, Gravy, North American Review, and many more. Currently, he serves as the Executive Director of the Georgia Writers Association and teaches at Kennesaw State University.
