What is kirtan? Kirtan meditation is the hearing and chanting of mantras / spiritual sounds. Weaving together melody, music and mantra, kirtan is an interactive experience which is simultaneously meditative and joyful. Kirtan is yoga’s most essential and valuable treasure because it nourishes a person’s deepest needs; inner peace, spiritual happiness, freedom from fear and heartfelt connection with the Supreme Soul and others in spiritual love.
