Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) ensures that children across Ohio have access to high-quality early learning experiences. The SUTQ rating system creates a continuous quality improvement path for providers. SUTQ star-rated programs have demonstrated a commitment to meeting stronger standards for staff, environments, and curricula, which have been validated to improve children's kindergarten readiness. Our Technical Assistance Coaches help childcare programs obtain, maintain, and/or increase their star ratings through free on-site coaching, continuing education, and professional development training, and by hosting events to encourage community support.
This work is funded by the Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, The Columbus Foundation, the City of Columbus, and PNC Bank. We also partner with other organizations, including Future Ready Columbus, who strengthen our efforts.
