Currents of Practice emerges as a site-responsive art event interweaving wetlands, time, and creative exploration.
Launching on World Wetlands Day, February 2, 2025, at Coolart Homestead and Wetlands, this inaugural exhibition celebrates the ecological and cultural significance of wetlands.
Proudly supported by the Mornington Peninsula Shire, in partnership with the Western Port Biosphere and Friends of Coolart, Currents of Practice weaves a narrative of art, conservation, and community, amplifying the stories of our wetlands on a local and global scale.
Featuring the works of local, regional and international artists across painting, sculpture, performance, and more, the exhibition invites audiences to immerse themselves in the rhythms of nature and explore profound connections between time, place, and creativity.

* Saturday, February 1: Opening (1.30 pm – 3.30 pm) and public exhibition.

* Homestead and buildings open at 9.00 am
* Coffee available at 9.30 am
* Q&A Panel Discussion at 11.00 am sharp (1 hour)
