About this Event
Join us for a fun, social introduction to the Olympic sport of curling! Using iceless curling rinks and stones that actually curl like the real deal, you can learn about curling and play a few games. We'll teach you about scoring, strategy and all the quirky curling lingo—including why it’s called “chess on ice.”
Most of the time will be spent actually curling - indoors on portable rinks (no need to get cold and no risk of falling down). There will be plenty of time for broomstacking (a.k.a. socializing, eating and drinking) with fellow curlers. Olympic curling will be on the big screen so you can learn from the best.
This event is family-friendly and physically very accessible - participants can curl from a crouch or standing position and there is no running/sweeping.
