The Edmonton Motorcycle Ride for Dad hosted by the Sherwood Park Curling Club is proud to announce the first ever CURL FOR DAD Fun Spiel in support of Prostate Cancer Research and Awareness.It is estimated that the odds of an 8 Ender in curling is about 1 in 120,000.
Statistics show that 1 in 8 men in Canada will get prostate cancer with 71 men diagnosed every day. It is the third leading cause of cancer deaths in men.
As with all cancers, early detection is the key for treatment to be effective with a 91% survival rate when detected early.
Our message is clear to all men over the age of 40………GET CHECKED BY YOUR DOCTOR. Our goal is to keep families together by saving men's lives.
Edmonton Ride for Dad is a fund raising arm of the nationally registered charity Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation
Come Get Your Green On and join us for a fun filled day starting off with a Curling Refresher lead by the Nedohin Family followed by a minimum of 3 games per team, including some fun antics and good times winding up the day with a great meal, raffles and live music.
Funds raised will stay in the Edmonton area used for prostate cancer research and awareness.
