We are thrilled to present CURIOSITIES /// Muse Collective at EKU Giles Gallery.
CURIOSITIES /// Muse Collective is an exhibition of objects, artifacts, remnants, and relics of a creative process. Artists/creatives are sharing something – anything – that they consider related to their creative process in some way. There was only 2 rules:
1. The object must be able to fit inside of a cargo van, and
2. It CANNOT be art.
WHY WE LOVE THIS IDEA
• Very inclusive, anyone that thinks of themselves as a creative person can be included.
• It allows us as curators to mount an exhibition that does not focus on quality or other criteria often employed in gallery exhibitions, thus minimizing the power / gate-keeping dynamics typically involved in the curatorial process.
•It also opens up conversations about what is considered art and who decides.
• Gallery visitors are encouraged to reflect on the creative process and consider where creative ideas come from and how artists manage their practice in their daily lives.
PARKING
Free parking is available after 5PM in the Crabbe Lot directly across from the Campbell Building, EKU.

ELIGIBILITY
Any artist/creative over the age of 18 is welcome to submit. Lent objects must be able to fit in a cargo van, or be dropped off directly to EKU Giles Gallery. Lent objects must be ready to install. All lent work must be received at EKU Giles Gallery OR with a Muse Collective representative by Friday, September 20.
NOTIFICATIONS
All lender submissions WILL be included in this unique exhibition within reason.
