Curio Wine School: Wines of Germany & Austria
Germany and Austria share a winemaking heritage rooted in precision, balance, and expression of terroir. From Germany’s racy Rieslings and elegant Pinot Noirs (Spätburgunder) to Austria’s signature Grüner Veltliner, these wines are admired for their clarity, freshness, and ability to age.
This class explores the unique regions and grape varieties that make Germany and Austria so distinctive. You’ll taste iconic styles side by side— from crisp whites to expressive reds —and learn how factors like climate, soil, and tradition shape their character. Perfect for all levels of wine knowledge, this tasting offers a deep dive into two countries whose wines combine history, innovation, and remarkable food-friendliness.
Included with your ticket:
- Seated wine class in the cool Curio Wine Cellar with Johnny Puckett, Curio & Rogers Ford Farm Winery owner and winemaker (WSET 3).
- Guided tasting of six unique wines.
- Small plate of artisanal cheese and crackers to accompany your tasting
