Curaluz weaves songs from the world of medicine music and ancient prayer with gorgeous ‘soundscapes’ and gorgeous vocals into a unique, innovative and stunning experience of pure music intended to evoke a reconnection with spirit and awaken the powers of healing.
For this special concert, Curaluz welcomes Michael Herringhaus. Michael is an outstanding guitar player with a passion for Brazilian music. We are preparing a special selection of songs for you, creating a window into the vastness of songs from these traditions. You may want to relax and receive the music, allowing the soundwaves to reconnect you with precious moments in ceremony, deepening your healing. We will also have lyrics for some songs available, so you can learn to sing these songs with us. Music and singing in circle are traditionally important aspects of working and healing with plant medicine.
All our music which we are humbled to share with you, comes from the world of plant medicine. We are excited to share these precious songs with you, may they touch your heart and bring you back to spirit, back to yourself and back to this very moment.
Curaluz:
Samashti Luz
Born and raised in Germany, Samashti’s musical journey has been influenced by devotional, jazz, and traditional Brazilian music. Through working with meditation and plant medicine, she sings from a place of inner presence, always with the intention of simply channeling the divine.
Steve O’Connell is a dedicated music producer from Oakland, California, who has worked in many genres collaborating with artists to help create music that speaks to the soul. He is a member of the heavy metal band Vannon and is producing hip hop acts while being a full-time member Curaluz.
Michael Heringhaus is a guitarist/composer/music teacher based in Grass Valley. Michael studied guitar and composition at Los Angeles City College where he completed the Herb Alpert Music Academy Program and received awards in Outstanding Performance and Best Guitarist. He continues sharing this tradition and the mystery of music through private lessons, performances, and workshops given in- person and online.
