Both unruly and refined, Cupid’s Heart uses cello, electric guitar, drums, and female vocals to create grungy alt-rock that fits like a baggy sweater. Described as “Chrissie Hynde Pretenders vibes with a pinch of Nirvana”, this Prince Albert Sask band belts songs on love and life from a queer perspective.
Anastasia Jane:
Anastasia Jane (she/ her) is a singer-songwriter from Brandon Manitoba. She is a proud transgender woman and has actively performed in the Manitoba area since the late 1980s (in various incarnations). Her songs have been played on independent and college radio stations internationally, and she has a strong social media presence. She can be seen regularly performing to audiences throughout Manitoba, sharing her musical gospel of rainbow colored good news.
