REGISTRATION: Essential via email by midday Monday 27 October 2025TIME: 11:30am for Morning Tea (choice of teas or coffee + Devonshire tea) or a pre-lunch bevvie or two! – A NICE LEISURELY LATE START. Lunch will be a sausages and burgers (optional veggie burgers) – if you would like some other meat please BYO.
The cultural highpoint of the Melbourne year is undoubtedly Melbourne Cup Day. And surely we need to celebrate this event in true style with our Motafrenz! Optionally you can wear your special hat or costume – you could win a prize, and don’t forget your $1 entry into the Cup Sweep.
BRING: Your favorite hat or fascinator (optional), a chair and BYO drinks
BRING YOUR SPECIAL VEHICLE: Motafrenz will park their vehicles in the street for the “Motafrenz Members’ Car Park” & impromptu “garage talk”.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT: The residence is a short walk from Hawthorn Train Station and several tram routes.
CAR POOLING: If you intend drinking alcohol then we recommend you organize a designated driver OR you can catch the tram
