CUNY/UA Intervisitation: 03M494, HS of Arts and Technology, Ms. Deena Soni

Ms. Deena Soni and the leadership of the High School for Arts and Technology invite you to visit Ms. Soni's classroom! You'll get to see some of our text engineering and questioning strategies in action, learn for your own practice, and provide high-leverage feedback to a generous colleague. If you are able to step out of your school for the morning, we would love for you to join us!
Please note that, to keep the space and time manageable, we can accommodate only up to 11 teachers, after which registration will be closed. A wait list will be maintained in event of cancellations.

If you wish to attend, please commit to the following:

• Show up as a learner and colleague.
• Mindfully manage your energy and focus.
• Observe Ms. Soni's class at least once, and participate in at least one debrief session. Once you have participated in both at least once, you are welcome to self-dismiss and return to your school.
• Take low-inference notes, with a focus on equity of voice in discussion as students analyze language in poetry.
• Refrain from photographing students' faces and/or names on work products, and ask students' permission before photographing work products.
• Offer collegial feedback based on low-inference observation.
