CUNY students, faculty and staff match in NYC's annual all-inclusive parade celebrating Irish history and culture.About this Event
In 2000, the inaugural St. Pat’s for All Parade took place in the historically Irish neighborhoods of Sunnyside and Woodside, Queens.
The event, which still runs, was founded by LGBT rights activist Brendan Fay as an inclusive alternative to the homophobic and transphobic St. Patrick’s Day parades in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx, which banned gay Irish groups from marching.
CUNY is proud to march with LGBTQIA+ organizations and others at the first St. Pat's Parade in NYC that includes ALL communities.

P articipation in this event is made possible through the generous support of the CUNY LGBTQIA+ Consortium in partnership with the New York City Council.
