LEARN CUMBIA SONIDERA IN ONE DAY!A 4 Hour class at OC Salsa. Experience needed, no partner required.
When: Sunday December 8 12-4pm
Where: OC Salsa 16131 Harbor, Fountain Valley
Details: in 4 hours you will learn how to Dance Cumbia Sonidera Style from the ground up. We will offer 3 different levels to learn from depending on experience:
ROOM 1 Beginner: Zero to little experience. No previous knowledge for partnering dance or cumbia needed
ROOM 2 Beginner/Intermediate: Knows basic steps and turns to music and knows how to lead or follow.
ROOM 3 Intermediate Level: Its comfortable dancing cumbia in a social setting, and know show to connect moves to dance a full song socially.
Schedule:
ROOM 1 BEGINNER
12pm – Cumbia Basic steps, timing (dance tio music), and concepts if lead ad follow and connection
1pm – Simple Turns for follows & Leads
2pm – Alternating Turns
3pm – Shadow turns and cradle turns. Combining all moves to create sequences
ROOM2 BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE /INT (Knows Cumbia but little or zero experience in sonidero style)
12pm – cumbia sonidera fundamentals
1pm – cumbia sonidera footwork and partner work
2pm – cumbia sonidera footwork , partnerwork + introduction to Guaracha CdMX style
3pm – cumbia sonidera – footwork – cumbia & guaracha + tips to shine more on the dance floor with cumbia.
ROOM2 INTERMEDIATE (Student is familiar with Cumbia Sonidero style)
12pm – Int/Advance cumbia sonidera technique and styling
1pm – Int/Advance cumbia sonidera footwork and partner work
2pm – Int/Advance cumbia sonidera footwork , partnerwork + Guaracha CdMX style
3pm – Int/ Advance cumbia sonidera – footwork – cumbia & guaracha + tips to shine more on the dance floor with cumbia.

With over 20 years of Dance instruction experience, David Vilchis is the director of the New Mambo Dance company. He and his students have competed and won many national and international competitions for Salsa, Bachata and Cumbia.
