About this Event
Join us for a special Culture Night - Korea Bojagi (Wrapping Art) Workshop to celebrate the spirit of Chuseok, Korea's harvest festival, held this year on Tuesday, September 17th.
Bojagi, a traditional Korean fabric wrapping art, symbolises good fortune and gratitude. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn creative wrapping techniques while exploring the cultural significance of Chuseok. We'll also learn how to wrap wine bottles using Bojagi, so it would be great if you could bring your wine bottle or any empty bottle to practice with. All other materials will be provided!
You will take home Bojagi cloths made in Korea, which you can reuse for your special gift wrapping.
We’ll enjoy unlimited coffee, biscuits, and friendly chats, making it a perfect opportunity to relax, create, and connect. It’s a casual, beginner-friendly event, so no prior experience is needed—just come and have fun!
What is Chuseok?
Chuseok is one of Korea’s biggest holidays, similar to Thanksgiving, where families gather to celebrate the harvest and give thanks to their ancestors. This workshop will be a wonderful way to share in this meaningful tradition.
