Come and join us in this live virtual guided tour to discover a great work of art with the help of GigaPixel images.
The masterpiece that will be explored during this presentation is La Fornarina by Raffaello Sanzio.
This event is part of the mini series: "Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raffaello: The Image of Woman compared between these three great artists" - a series of virtual guided tours led by Mario Bernardi (The Grand Tour).
Schedule for the evening:
• Leonardo's Lady with an Ermine - The Courtesan (17:00-17:20)
• Michelangelo's Doni Tondo – The Saint (18:35-18:55)
• Raffaello's La Fornarina – The Lover (20:15-20:35)
Each 20-minute presentation will be dedicated to a single work by each artist and to his personal and particular way of declining the Image of Women.

MARIO BERNARDI'S BIO
Born and raised in Rome, Mario has lived in Naples between 1995 and 1998, while attending the Military School “Nunziatella”, one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious Boarding Schools. Back to Rome he has studied at the II University of Rome ” Tor Vergata” obtaining a Masters degree in Aestetics, the philosophy of Art, with Professor Mario Perniola.
Mario has been working as a Tour Guide and Assistant for the Italian Ministry of Culture from 1999 to 2008, and also started working as a freelance guide and tour leader since 2002, and is a professional licensed Tour Guide and Tour Leader.
In 2003 Mario visited the US and gave a Talk at the Alva de Mars Megan Chapel Art Center of the St Anselm College in Manchester, NH, about “The Grand Tour, lived experience of art and culture”, from 2005 till 2009 he has been giving talks and tutoring several University and Masters Students for the III University of Rome and other cultural institutions.
Since 1999 he has alternated his studies and professional work with several researches and papers, articles and various collaborations, this activity continues today, in the fields of Modern History, Aesthetics, Philosophy and Literature.
As a passionate traveller, he has travelled extensively thought Europe, United States and Japan.
He has conducted many tours in Rome and all over Italy and he is the Founder and Director of "The Grand Tour" Europe, providing unique travel experiences to passionate travellers.
