About this Event
Do you work in the arts/creative industries? Are you based in/around Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole? Are you feeling thirsty for cultural connection?
Join your Cultural Compact for our next major event, a great opportunity to meet fellow artists and local organisations. Following our previous Culture Network events in Poole and Bournemouth, we're delighted to be coming to Christchurch to host a Speed-dating night for artists and organisations.
On arrival, you'll receive a free drink and be welcomed by members of our Task Group (culturalcompact.org.uk/who-we-are). Those taking part in the speed-dating will be able to talk to a variety of local artists and organisations, but please bring a piece of your own work - a drawing, a photograph, a script, manifesto, season brochure, anything you can carry into the Kings Arms - to talk about. Please also ensure you answer the order confirmation questions accurately so we can share these with other attendees ahead of the event.
Tickets are free. We're also able to pay 10 freelancers £26 each to attend, via an anonymous ballot. For more details, and to enter (deadline 27th October 9am ), click here: https://forms.gle/7DQ1kXd4nFJoNwK7A.
The Kings Arms is a wheelchair-accessible venue, with specific parking available to support anyone attending the event. Please contact us upon booking so we can guide you to the right place. If you have any additional specific acessibility needs, please contact us at [email protected] and we'll gladly supply further information.
(The Cultural Compact Taskgroup is made up of individuals representing Activate Performing Arts, Arts By The Sea Festival, Arts University Bournemouth, Bournemouth BID, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Bournemouth University , Pavilion Dance South West and Lighthouse, Poole's Centre of the Arts. It is funded thanks to support from Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole Council.)
