Come join us on Sun, Feb 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Main Library of Richmond for an enlightening event exploring the rich cultural heritage of African Americans and their Islamic history.
A celebration through music, poetry, and story telling of the struggles and triumphs of African Americans and Indigenous Muslims that shapes Richmond, the state, and the nation today. Directed by Richmond’s own Ray Taalib-Deen Muhammad, actor, playwright, griot, and Muslim pioneer. Sponsored by Indigenous American African Culture Team I-ACCT; Real Opportunities (ROI); United Parents Against Lead (UPAL) & Petersburg Resiliency Hub; and Empathy Wellness Center.
