Cultural Newham: Celebrating South Asian Dance & Music

A free cultural extravaganza featuring Bharathanatyam south Indian classical dance and a DJ set with live percussive performance. Food and beverages available to purchase too!

The event will have two parts:

Dances of Newham

A dance performance spotlighting the classical Bharathanatyam genre from south India. It will be performed by Newham-based dancers trained by MAUK -  both children and adults. There will also be professional dancers performing other south Asian dance genres and an opportunity to ask questions. 

Sounds of Newham 

Live percussionists and a DJ will perform together to get the audience dancing.
