SOFLO Panamanian Association’s Cultural Evening is a vibrant celebration of Panama’s independence. This year, we're excited to bring a piece of Panama to South Florida, showcasing our rich cultural heritage.
Guest will experience an unforgettable evening filled with spectacular and captivating live performances by renowned Panamanian artists in Florida: Grupo Proyecciones Folcloricas Panama Para el Mundo from Tampa, Grupo Congo Cultura507 from Fort Lauderdale, Art exhibit by Masplata an outstanding artist from Miami, and dance to the music of DJ Panama 305.
A silent auction, where guest can bid ahead of the event on unique items and experiences!
We will also honor three outstanding individuals with community awards and establish the Lidia Wallace scholarship to a deserving college-bound student.
Proceeds from this event directly fund our mission to promote Panamanian culture in the US and provide vital resources to those in need in Panama. Over the past three years, we have:
- Delivered over 310 care packages of essential living supplies to disaster-affected areas in Panama
- Shipped two (2) pallets of assistive devices for the elderly and individuals with disabilities
- Adopted El Barrero Elementary School in Penonome, providing funds for necessary repairs and classroom fans to enhance students' learning conditions
- Shipped six pallets of adult incontinence products, including diapers, pull-ups, and pads.
