About this Event
Children from diverse backgrounds may be cared for in early learning environments that might not provide experiences that reflect their cultural backgrounds, which include family values and learning styles. This course is a beginning step to increasing awareness and understanding of cultures and cultural competence. It focuses on defining culture, cultural conditioning and culturally responsive teaching and the role of engaging families. It is designed to be interactive and self-reflective.
