Join Kalmia Gardens’ Assistant Director, Lucy Contreras for the first presentation in Kalmia Gardens’ new adult education series, Cultivating Knowledge: A Lecture Series, at the Joslin Education Center. Pre-registration is required and tickets may be purchased for $5.
Lucy’s presentation Native Plants – Inviting Nature to Your Doorstep looks at plants native to South Carolina and how native plants can help to benefit not only your garden, but the environment too! Learn about different native plants for a variety of conditions and become inspired to include these tough, and often low maintenance, plants into your landscape.
Lucy Contreras is the Assistant Director at Kalmia Gardens of Coker University. Lucy has been a horticulturist for over ten years and has worked at public gardens in both South Carolina and New York. Her horticultural interests lie primarily in native plants and roses, but she enjoys learning about growing plenty of plants in between!
