Additionally, it was named Best Picture by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, the Boston Society of Film Critics, and the San Francisco Bay Area Film Critics Circle. The film also received six nominations at the 97th Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director for Sean Baker, and Best Actress for Mikey Madison. Notably, former President Barack Obama included it in his list of favourite movies of 2024
